Austin City Limits
“Austin City Limits” first aired in 1976 on PBS, broadcasting live music performances for audiences at home. The show is still taped in a studio in Austin, Texas, and if you visit in September, you can attend the music festival inspired by the show.
Sixth Street
Sixth Street is the downtown district of Austin, Texas, and it’s always rocking. Come for the eats and shops, stay for the tunes.
SXSW – South By Southwest
The SXSW Music and Media Conference takes place each March and showcases bands from around the world on 50 stages in the downtown district. There are usually over 1400 acts and music of every type – pop, jazz, blues, hiphop, electronica, everything!
